Our Story
Hi, I'm the CEO of PortageBay, an AI company that provides analytics into the largest global banks. My son is in the process of applying to US colleges and, yes, it is stressful!!
Each college asks some version of "why are you applying to our college?" In an effort to personalize his essays to each school, my son was spending hours researching each school. With a total of 20 schools on his list, he was totally overwhelmed.
I wanted to help him. So, I created a specialized AI to do the laborious research. As my own son depended on this information, I brought the full force of my company's data and AI resources to create the best output possible.
My son uses the reports to personalize his essays, tailored to his specific interests. He completed 16 of his 20 schools as of October 2024,.
I honestly wasn't planning on offering this service to the public. But when I told my friends about what I had built, they wanted reports for their kids. Soon, their friends were asking me to create for reports. And so, I ended up creating this simple form to automate the report generation.
